These terms govern your use of slate-foundry.com and any application published by Slate Foundry LLC that links to them. By using the site or an application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

The service

This website presents information about our studio and our work. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time. Applications we publish may carry their own additional terms; where those conflict with these, the application's terms govern that application.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site or our applications to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to attempt unauthorised access to systems or accounts, to interfere with normal operation, or to scrape or reproduce our content at scale without permission. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.

Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, design, code and marks — belongs to Slate Foundry LLC or is used with permission. You may quote and link to it with attribution. You may not present it as your own or use our name or marks to imply an association that does not exist.

Purchases and refunds

Where an application is sold or offers in-app purchases, the transaction is handled by the relevant app store, and that store's refund and cancellation policy applies to it. If you believe you are owed a refund we do not control, contact us and we will help where we can.

No warranty

The site and our applications are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law permits, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Foundry LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site or our applications. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where we link to sites we do not operate, we are not responsible for their content or their practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Some consumer-protection laws give you rights to bring proceedings elsewhere; this clause does not remove those.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
